IT’S HISPANIC HERITAGE Month. During this month I want to personally acknowledge and salute my Afro-Latino brothas and sistas around the globe.
I have much love for Afro-Latinos because they acknowledge and embrace their African lineage. It’s time that Black people in America (the so-called African-American) recognize that Afro-Latinos are our brothas and sistas.
The bottom line that Black folk in America and Afro-Latinos throughout the world share a common history (slavery), a common bloodline (African), and a common struggle (racism/white supremacy). And it’s time that we start reaching out and connecting with one another.
Let’s open our minds. We’re a global family. Black people are represented all over the world – Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central America, South America, etc.
One People. One Blood. One Love.
